It is great to see that students from poorer countries are finally getting access to computer equipment and software through their schools and universities. Unfortunately, however, the level of support and access to high end software is very limited because of pricing and other economic factors. I feel that all students, irrespective of their economic situations, should have access to the very best software. Only by using the very best tools can these students reach their full creative potential. Their knowledge of such software will also be very helpful in them finding professional employment once they have completed their studies.
As a single person I may not be able to make much of an impact, but in some small way I'd like to assist these students in reaching their goals. I'm offering one free copy of Illustrate! each month to an underprivileged student. Who knows, maybe other large software companies will also follow suit.
You must be a student studing in a school or university. Please send me an email at davidgould@davidgould.com describing your situation and studies.
Once you have contacted me your name will go into the draw each month. At the end of each month the winner will be be chosen at random from the pool of names. You don't need to reenter if you don't win since your name will go automatically into the following month's draw. The winner will be contacted via email.
