Daniel Lissing joins THE CURE |
|
Rising talent Daniel Lissing joins the cast to play RYAN, an undervalued member of the research team who feels he deserves greater recognition and fame. When he is given the incredible prize that is the cure to cancer, will he follow his ego or his heart?
Daniel’s past television roles include the recurring guest roles of ‘Tiger’ on Channel Ten’s OUT OF THE BLUE and ‘Heath’ on Channel Seven’s highly successful PACKED TO THE RAFTERS series. Most recently he had a guest role on Channel Nine’s COPS: LAC and is currently playing the semi-regular role of ‘Conrad’ on the ABC’s new drama, CROWNIES.
"Daniel is not only a great physical match for the character RYAN, a biochemist from a privileged background, but brings the warmth and flippancy that is needed to be BETH's partner. The character has many internal conflicts that he must overcome and Daniel's audition demonstrated that he has the ability to portray that submerged turmoil. Daniel is also a very energetic and passionate actor who is more than willing to dive in feet first." David Gould, the director.
Further casting will be announced in the coming weeks.
